Monique felt a banging headache as she stood up from the pilot’s seat. Only God knows how long she’s been here, there’s not a lot she could remember.
She followed the standard procedure and hit the comms to try to get anyone from back home. No one answered on the other end, things became clearer, Polkadot was being destroyed, and she was the only one who could save it.
She remembered the curse, water turning into blood, the crops drying up and the sun not rising. She remembered Lokonga’s descendants being punished for stealing the god of prosperity,
Substrapunk.
She immediately gets under the hood to fix Substrate, who could help her get between the ecosystems for a low price, for she knew where she was headed was not cheap, but she knew that there’s no way she’s saving her hometown without fixing the pieces of substrapunk, and she knew just who to ask.
But it meant one thing; traveling to the Tezos ecosystem. She got right down to fixing substrate, Polkadot depended on her.

She walked towards Quartz, it was almost as if she knew her way. Substrapunk’s mind was calling, and all she had to do was follow his voice. With her head covered in a brown cloak, she moved towards the tunnel and found Quartz marketplace
She walked in, bewildered by his collections, cryptopunks, Axie infinity, and some other extinct pieces no one has seen.
“You seek the substrapunk, don’t you?” Quartz stepped into the light. Monique was taken aback and reached for her gun.
“I have his bundled pieces, and it cost me a lot,” he said walking towards her, his blue eyes glowing.
“I’ll give you Substrapunk if you give me a piece of what I need,” he said, as he sat relaxed on his swivel chair
“What might that be?” Monique asked, removing her hands from her holster.
“A piece of you,” Quartz said, smirking. Instantly, Monique knew she had no choice. She was the princess, after all, she was worth more than Substrapunk to a lot of people
But not to her, not to her people.
“Fine, I’ll give you a piece,” she said, as she pulled a piece of her pixelated face, a tiny price to pay for salvation. She couldn’t do it alone.
She desperately needed Substrapunk.
Quartz kept to his end of the deal and gave her all the pieces of Substrapunk.
It was her job to put him back together, that was a battle to prepare for

Substrapunk was put together. A glimmer of hope lit Monique’s face. The victory was coming, and it was hers. She had all she needed. Substrapunk was more than a god to the people
He’s the key to their prosperity
She looked at her kingdom as she flew over the temple. Things were worse than when she left. There were bodies everywhere, warriors on their knees, the gates unmanned. She knew she had to move quickly or there would be more catastrophe.
She landed the Rogue and walked briskly into the temple with Substrapunk in her hands. The temple looked worse than the entire kingdom. As she walked to put the god where he was for as long as she could remember.
“Stop!” the priest thundered. She was shocked, she was here with Substrapunk. What was wrong?
“That task requires a sacrifice,” he said, stamping his staff with authority. Monique was crestfallen. There was a lot she still wanted to do. And she knew what that meant.
It had to be her or someone else.
It was then she made the ultimate sacrifice.
“Take me, priest,” she said. He was surprised.
“Take the god to the altar,” he said, and watched her disintegrate into many pieces, and springs return to normal.
Monique was not just a princess.
She was a hero, you should be proud to have a piece.
