Introduction

WEB 3.0, WHAT IS ITS INTENT?

Web.3.0 screams one word that is important in blockchain technology; Decentralization. Decentralization is giving power back to the user to earn rights for their content, or to not have their information sold illegally, and not being controlled by the web or app. One might ask, how is it possible to not be in control?

In a recent poll, 72% of Americans can’t trust Facebook to protect their online privacy. Here’s a brief explanation. Have you ever googled cars on your browser and then later open Facebook and found ads on cars? Ever wondered how that happened?

Web3.0 is here to solve that problem. Decentralization means full autonomy to your content. There will be no utilization of your data without permission. This is the sole aim of Web3.0 and the sole aim of Taki.

TAKI, A DEEP DIVE

Welcome to Taki! Taki is a web3 social network platform that rewards its users for interacting with content. The token earned is known as $TAKI. The earning process is quite simple; to post and comment on content. It is an amazing concept because normally, there’s usually a criterion needed in other platforms, but here all you need is interesting content, and a good following to back that up!

HOW TO SIGN UP

It takes three easy steps!

Though the platform has not been launched officially, its beta platform has been released for testing. To join beta testing, click here. After clicking the link, you can either login in with your phone number. The process is quite easy to follow up.

if you’re using an email, click on the email icon and choose any email registered on your device. If your email is already registered. It will look like this:

Pick any username and password of your choice.

And then, you’re in! You can begin to make your posts!

WHAT IS A USER COIN?

The concept of a user coin was first seen in the game geometry dash, where these coins were used to unlock secret levels. It is quite a system that ensures you earn not just for the content you create but by buying into a person with who you feel the content has a future. For example, if you buy Eden’s coin, let’s call it Alia, today and she is consistent with her content that she has many followers, I have a stake in Eden’s rewards, while her coin rate goes higher as more people begin to engage and buy her user coin. Coins’ value depends on how people enjoy a creator’s content and follow or like it.

The beautiful thing is you get to call the token any name you wish! And you see the equivalent in your currency, depending on your location. This is one of the amazing innovations of Taki.

CREATING YOUR USER COIN

There is a system that the app uses to earn on your posts. If you have one created, it will enable people to buy into your coin if they like your posts and believe that you will trend with your posts, they can make money off your posts by buying your coins.

HOW TO LIKE OR COMMENT ON TAKI

It is as easy as liking or commenting on your regular web2 platform, but due to the engage-to-earn model, it can be done with a few easy steps!

LIKE

It’s as easy as clicking the heart button! It looks like this.

Here’s the catch, to like a user’s post, you have to buy the user’s coin, thereby participating in the engage-to-earn model. when you click the heart emoji, this comes up:

You give a Gold Taki, which is equivalent to two takes, as easy as that!

COMMENT

Click the chat icon and type your response, and click send.

WHAT ARE THE DYNAMIC FEATURES

  • It’s built on the Solana ecosystem:

Like every other web3 project, this project is on the Solana blockchain, this is huge as Solana has associations with social apps on the blockchain.

  • Taki is one of the few projects that are both computer-friendly and mobile-friendly. This is because they have both web-based and mobile web-based.
  • A lot of projects have been projected to build social apps on the web3 sphere. Taki is one of the few that uses an engagement-to-earn model.
  • It is incubated in SuperLayer, a venture studio, and incubator. This is an indicator that this project is not in a haste, which means the aim is to build an effective and long-lasting product.

What is SuperLayer?

SuperLayer is a venture studio that incubates tokenized consumer products and applications that is on the $RLY network.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

This product is founded by Kevin Chou and Sakina Ariswala

She is also a co-founder of SuperLayer.

OBSERVATIONS:

First, I would love to give kudos to the team for an amazing project, from the total idea to that of the engage-to-earn model. However, after interacting with the beta version, here are some advantages noted, and observations to make the release better.

  • Slow server:

The server is too slow, and things take a while to load, making it not easy to use. This observation was noted on the version.

  • Good user experience:

The User Experience is simple and easy to understand. The User Interface is quite simple, but the user interface is quite a cliche. Some of the web 2 user Interfaces look more appealing. I sincerely believe work with the color schemes could be better, so as to accommodate a beautiful design in dark mode too. However, the comment and like button could be better.

  • Reactions: in the real sense, there isn’t a like button. This is because the heart button has its own meaning, love. There should be more react buttons, eg. haha, like, sad, hug, care, etc.

. There is no dark mode

This is sad, cause I am not a fan of too much light, some people aren’t too! I believe it will be fixed in further updates.

  • There are not enough live feeds for refreshing

It’s still in the testing stage, so I would not call it a complete flaw, but I believe that seeing one content over and over is cumbersome.

  • There is no update for videos:

Videos are a major part of content. This is because not all content is written content. According to Hubspot academy, in 2022, about 33% of content will be in video format. If Taki is interested in taking over the web 2 space, provision for video content must be considered.

  • There is no access to the discord community: when I tried to access the community from the link given in my settings, I encountered this error.

Yes, there is a link that gives invites you to the discord community but it seems to be expired. Discord is a community where users can easily interact with each other and get quicker replies even more than on Twitter, this situation needs to be fixed.

  • Lack of information on their Medium channel

On Taki’s official medium channel, there is only one article which was posted on March 30 and a three-minute read. To be honest, that is not enough information to explain the product. Also, the roadmap progress is not being updated on their medium channel, which does not speak well of the product. To find out the success of the roadmap or what phase they’re in currently, you’d have to google the roadmap, which is cumbersome ti the user.

TAKI VS WEB 2 APPS

When the internet launched, it was an exciting technology. People could access information from various parts of the world, like an e-newspaper. However, web2 came with one agenda, to enable communication, but with the arrival of web2 came issues of selling data and zero privacy. Also, the earning model left little or no profits for the content creators or fans. These problems, Taki is here to solve.

In web2 apps, you would have to get to a certain amount of followers or get a certain number of downloads to earn a decent amount of money. With Taki, you don’t need a certain number of followers to earn. You earn right from the signup!

In the web2 model, they are no rewards for likes and reactions. However, it is more beneficial to the web2 apps, but what of the users? Taki solves that problem. You earn for every like on your content. You don’t see yourself as a content creator? That is fine, just buy user coins of content creators that you enjoy their content, and you earn from them too!

Why Taki?

  • Collab with solanapay

Coins can be bought with Solanapay, which is an open-source payment gateway for projects launched on the solana ecosystem. This means you can fund your wallets or withdraw in sol.

  • Regular updates

Taki gives regular updates to their business, which is also a good move because it satisfies customers’ curiosity.

CONCLUSION

Taki is a web3 product that has models that will help spark people’s interest in blockchain technology, web 3.0, and cryptocurrency as a whole. The project’s models seem sustainable in the long run, and the mission will be achieved.

However, I believe this project’s quality is way above average to not make huge publicity. I implore that they use methods such as content, ambassadorship, and memes to increase publicity. Can’t wait for the actual project launch!
